26.března 2013 se uskutečnil další seminář k projektu NEVINA. Témata semináře zahrnovala

• Faktory ovlivňují kvalitu výpovědi očitého svědka
• Nespravedlivě odsouzení v USA - Innocence project
• Rozbor případů z ČR
• Chybějící legislativa pro oblast DNA identifikací

Pozvání na seminář přijala Dr. Karen Newirth z USA.

Karen A. Newirth is a graduate of New York University’s School of Law. Following law school, Karen clerked for the Honorable Whitman Knapp in the Southern District of New York, after which she went into private practice focusing on criminal defense. Prior to joining the Innocence Project, Karen represented individuals in all phases of state and federal criminal investigations and prosecutions as an associate at the law firm of Brafman & Associates, P.C. Before becoming a lawyer, Karen taught high school English in Brooklyn, New York and San Jose, Costa Rica.
